The Rapid release locking pliers utilize a pivotally fastened upper jaw that is held in a fixed position by a thumb actuated trigger mechanism, when activated, permits the upper jaw to rotate away from the lower jaw and allows the pent up pressure in the main body of the pliers, which acts as a large spring, to be release safely and effectively without levers flying open and possible causing harm to the end user.
